In my earlier posting (MY JOURNEY TO SPIRITUAL GOLGOTHA,) I disclosed how I journeyed through space and time and arrived at spiritual Golgotha, the place of the Skull. In prior postings, I conveyed that I had been struck by a life-threatening spiritual attack that exploded my pancreas and sent me to an intensive care unit (ICU.) After the doctors did all they could that first night, they left, believing that I was unlikely to make it to morning. As I slowly drifted toward unconsciousness, I left my body behind and entered the spiritual realm. SWIMMING IN THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE

Once inside the Skull, I soon found myself swimming with countless other lost souls in a phosphorescent yellow-orange plasma that delivered a scorching heat and pressure that must exist from the massive gravitational forces of the sun. The heat seared me, and the pressure painfully squeezed me into a rage.    

The souls swimming with me resembled white tadpoles. Together, we darted to and fro, attempting to escape the stinging heat and the crushing weight of the plasma. 

Each soul also relived the horror, sorrow, pain, and misery of the people they harmed. Over and over again, everyone there experienced the feelings their victims experienced as a result of their actions. 

The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me. (Psalm 18:5)

Even worse, the feelings of every victim are transmitted into the plasma and received by every soul swimming there. Accordingly, every soul relived the cumulative sorrow of every other soul’s victims. 

Thus, there is a three-fold effect on the plasma. There is the heat, the pressure, and thirdly, the continual reliving of the horrors they all inflicted upon the world. All this dreadfulness drove us into a frenzy, and we frantically darted back and forth, desperately searching for a way out. Like pollywogs heated in a chemistry beaker, dashing back and forth, seeking escape without hope or rest, probing continually for relief without end, howling in despair. 

Psalm 18:4-5 – New King James Version

The pangs of death surrounded me, and the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. 5 The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.

Despite believing there was no escape from the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, I was instantly removed and relocated to a large, searing-hot cave.

What is Spiritual Golgotha?

Golgotha, which translates as the place of the Skull, has been used to identify the place where Jesus Christ was crucified. Here is a scripture that supports this notion.

33 And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull, 34 they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink. 35 Then they crucified Him and divided His garments, casting lots…

In the spiritual realm, Golgotha contains the Lake of Fire, the place of the second death.

What is the Lake of Fire and Brimstone?

It is the pace of the second death. Here is a scripture that identifies what this is.

Revelation 21:6-8

6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Confirming the Existence of the Lake of Fire

To this point I have communicated things to you that by worldly standards are quite unbelievable. However, if one looks to the scriptures they will find that a vast majority of them are confirmed there. For a long time these experiences terrified me and as a result, I refused to think about them and certainly did not tell anyone. I really did not understand my experience until after I was born again and studied the scriptures that I understood what God had done for me. I was through these events that started to understand that God had a different plan for my life. His way of continuing our relationship was to show me the truth about the purpose of this life, myself and where my life choices were taking me.

What is certain is that God loved me enough to give me a second chance to make the right decisions about my life. I did not deserve this opportunity but He gave it freely out of His love for me. I knew that if He did this much for me when I did not deserve it, He would continue to bless me from that point as well.

Everything changed when I finally accepted the truth that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. When I did God placed favor in my life, and He became more real than I could have ever anticipated.

The purpose of this and subsequent postings is to communicate the results of my bible study, which confirms my entire out of body experience. As a byproduct, it also confirms the spiritual reality of why we are here on this earth and the consequences of our choices and actions. My plan is to present one component per posting until I have completed them all. The first to be addressed is: THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE


THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE

The Lake of Fire and Brimstone is the eternal destination for Satan, the beast, the false prophet, death, Hades and everyone whose name is not written in the book of Life:

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10).

In my out of body experience, the orange plasma that I swam in is a direct correlation to words of the prophet John, who wrote the book of Revelation.

The Lake of Fire is also filled with all of the soles who made poor life choices.

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)

This matches my experience of swimming in the lake of fire where I experienced the pain that of that all the soles there had inflicted on others (Inside-the-Lake-of-Fire-the-Second-death). All were in agony for the evil that they had done.

In fact, the bible confirms that it is the final repository for all evil. It is the second death, which is a spiritual death, a permanent separation from God.

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14-15)

This confirms my concern about the second death I experienced while others were searching for good works as I stood before the Judgment seat.

The Judgment Seat of Christ

The bottom line here is that if you don’t believe in Hell, the Judgment to come, or the devil, then think again. In fact there is something out there worse than Hell. It is a world on pain and suffering that is the continual reliving the pain that they caused others and It goes on forever.

The heat seared me, and the pressure painfully squeezed me into a rage.   The souls swimming in the lake with me resembled white tadpoles. Together, we darted to and fro, attempting to escape the stinging heat and the crushing weight of the plasma. Each soul also relived the horror, sorrow, pain, and misery of those they hurt. Over and over again, everyone there experienced the feelings their victims experienced from their actions.

I passed through the skull’s open eye socket and entered the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, the place of the second death. 

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Revelation 21:6 – 8)

I swam in the lake’s luminous yellow-orange plasma and bore its excruciating heat and immense pressure. These conditions must be like the sun’s fusion reaction, where extreme heat and pressure result from the massive gravitational forces. The heat scorched me, and the pressure squeezed everything out of me.   Innumerable souls were swimming there with me, white in color and in the general shape of tadpoles. They voyaged through this hot, orange ooze, wailing in agony on a journey that had no end.  In addition to these tortures, each soul was in an everlasting state of agonizing over their sins, reliving, over and over, the harm and pain they had caused others. They also relived the emotions of remorse, guilt, anger, hatred, and fear that their victims felt due to their actions perpetually. 

The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me. (Psalm 18:5)

But even worse, the plasma provided still more misery. The wailing and emotions of each soul there were transmitted into the plasma and were received by every other soul there. Unbelievably, every soul simultaneously experienced the pain and remorse that every other soul experienced. The compounded effect of these conditions was overwhelming. Still, they had no choice but to exist in this continual torment that drove them into raging madness. Therefore, they darted back and forth like pollywogs in a beaker placed over a flaming Bunsen burner. Desperate for escape but without hope or rest, they scoured continuously, seeking an escape that did not exist.

A JOURNEY TO GOLGOTHA

In my prior postings I have told you about a severe medical condition that resulted in my admittance to an intensive care unit with a life threatening pancreases problem. It was there that I left my body behind and traveled through space and time, having not idea where I was going. This posting is the continuation of this story.

I continued to look around as I traveled through space and time. I noticed that there was a slightly larger object than the rest in the stars ahead. As I approached this object I noticed that its shape was different as well. It was not spherical like the stars, but I could not as yet make out its shape.

Suddenly, a strange and repulsive odor arrived. It was faint at first, and I found myself sniffing in an effort to identify what it was. Then, the awful odor hit me full strength like a wave crashing onto the shore. Its stench overwhelmed and choked me. It was then that I realized that odor was decaying human flesh. The smell of death was making me sick.

Then I started to hear sounds again. They also were faded at first and seemed almost melodic. I tried to identify the sounds were but could not. However, I noticed that they seemed to be getting louder as I approached the strange object before me. Then suddenly, a chill ran through me as I recognized the sound. It was the sound of a mass of people wailing in torment and agony. It was the sound of thousands or perhaps millions of souls simultaneously crying out in pain and despair. It was the perpetual song of torment that invaded me. It evoked in me a very depressing and gut wrenching feeling of agony and despair.

I looked up again to check my heading. I could see that I was still moving rapidly toward the now larger, white object in space. I also noticed that my s-curves were seemingly larger as I approached. One thing was certain now—I was heading directly toward this thing, what ever it was.

I soon realized that both the putrid odor and wailing sounds were coming from it. I continued watching the object as I meandered through space. The image grew larger until I saw what I wished that I did not. It was a gigantic, degenerated human skull floating in space without a body.

The cranium still contained bits of flesh and hair in various places. But, in general, it was seriously deteriorated and decayed. Parts of the face had no skin but revealed the underlying muscle and ligaments. In other areas of the face, the muscle and ligaments were gone and revealed the bony structure of the skull. The jaw area had completely deteriorated and exposed the teeth and jawbones that seemed to project an evil smirk. The right eye was missing; it was from here that the sounds and the stench escaped. These awful things were coming from deep inside the skull.

I continued moving closer to the skull of death and as I did, I was amazed at its enormous size. Still traversing in sine wave pattern, the ship’s movement from side to side now took me from one edge of the skull to the other. Soon afterward, all I could see before me was the skull and yet my momentum continued to carry me forward in an obvious collision course. I saw the skull grow in size as I rapidly approached. It was then that I knew just how small and insignificant I was.

I approached even closer until all I could see was the open eye socket before me as I slithered my way toward this “place of the skull” or Golgotha.

John 19:16 – 18 Then he delivered Him to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus and led Him away. And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, here they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center.

I continued forward, entering the open eye socket and watching as it engulfed me. I got a close up view of the remnants of ligaments and tissues inside the eye socket.

And yet I continued steadily forward, moving now into total darkness. Even in complete obscurity I continued on until I entered through an open passageway that I could not see. For now my journey was over. I wondered what might lie ahead.

So my journey into the spiritual realm had begun. My travels took me to the place of spiritual death. The spiritual equivalent of Golgotha, or the place of the skull, the place they killed Jesus. The journey was not over however. I had just entered the passage way to the Lake of Fire, which has been described as the second death in the book of Revelation. Our next posting will cover my experiences there in detail.
