THE BRIDE OF CHRIST REVEALED
The preparation of the bride and her work is the essence of the
Vision God reviled to me in my previous posting (inside-the-bride-of-christ). At this point in time I believe that we should get some additional background about who the bride is. The bride is the cumulative body of Christ, formed of the redeemed of the Lord:
But, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all things into Him who is the head; Christ; from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love (Ephesians 4:15 – 16).
The bride is pure and holy. She is a gift to God, perfect in every way:
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:25 – 27).
Jesus spoke to His disciples about the bride in the following passage:
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and
receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know. Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:2 – 6).
In this passage Jesus states that He will come again and take His disciples into Himself. Therefore, the two become one and this is symbolic of marriage. In addition, Jesus proclaims to be the Tabernacle in stating that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life (see my previous post on this subject jesus-is-the-way-the-truth-and-the-life). The Tabernacle is the place where God dwells with His people on earth. Jesus also talks about many mansions which are buildings that are often found in a city of many people. This presents the concept of the bride being a great city of people, even the holy Jerusalem,
which is clarified in this scripture:
Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me saying, ”Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God (Revelation 21:9 – 10).
Absolutely beautiful in scenery and Truth.
I’ve just come across your site a few minutes ago. You’re confusing me just a tad by calling the spiritual New Jerusalem the Bride. I see where you are coming form by the scriptures you use. But I see the Body of Christ, the truly redeemed of the Lord, the lively stones..fitley joined together…..as being the true Bride. Is not the true church the Bride?
I’ve seen the Holy City New Jerusalem as the City of God. The abode of Christ which will ascent just down to cloud level…for the gathering of the saints. There we will reside with Christ, (Mt 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together).for the marriage supper of the Lamb, while the wrath of God is destroying the wicked, putting an end to all rule, destroying the old earth and heavens….and putting in place the new heaven and new earth. At that time the Holy City New Jerusalem will descend onto the new earth and remain eternally.
I personally don’t agree with the doctrine of the church being raptured secretly. I believe scripture shows that when the Bride goes …the age of Grace is concluded.
Mt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. I believe the following verses to be the gathering of the church (Bride).
Mt 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
(Sixth Seal) Re 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads
God has allowed me to see a small glimpse of the New Jerusalem in a vision many years ago. My mom had a signifcant vision about the Holy City. I think it may be possible that the words ‘adorned as a Bride’ is descriptive of the glory of the city as described in Revelations. It’s adornment, I believe, is the Glory of God and His Christ along with the Bride in a glorified state for eternity.
It’s difficult to express an opinion on scripture in such a brief way since there are many, many more which apply. But, I am glad to run across a site with even a mention of ‘visions.’ I’ve experienced visions from God since first grade. Only He knows why He would show anything to a nobody like me. I’ve always said I am the example of the ‘dumb to confound the wise.’ He has used them to reveal scriptue to me. There is no new word. The visions are related to the already spoken Word of God. But they have been so numerous it’s hard to list them all. I’ve named my blog Internet Elias (internetelias.wordpress.com) since God blessed me with hearing the audible voice of Elias, three years ago, in the daytime, wide awake as he loudly proclaimed,’ THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS. PREPARE YE THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE HIS PATH STRAIGHT.! It was the most sobering experience of my life. I believed Elias completely. He remains the forerunner. We are in the last days and the cry has now gone forth..’behold the bridegroom cometh.’ Times are serious. Elias was urgent in his cry….in his directions to ‘prepare the path.’ I am to spend the rest of my days helping prepare people for His return.
1th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 1th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 1th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
My prayer to God on your behalf is, “Thy will be done.” I’m sure I will enjoy catching up, as I can, on your previous posts and studies.
I liked what you had to say. I also believe that the true church is the bride. This is supported in Rev 21:8 as it states that:
Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names[i] of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Interestingly, the twelve angels that protect the bride on each side are the twelve tribes of Israel.
Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. Rev 21:12-13
So the twelve tribes protect the bride just as the twelve tribes protected the Tabernacle of Moses, three tribes on each side. So from this I think you can see where we are eventually going with this blog.
I can also relate to many of your other comments, especially about vision and the like. I have been having these types of experiences since childhood as well. I have written some of them down in my book and plan to send you an electronic copy soon. I think you will find some of the same messages in it, but delivered in a different manner.
God bless all that you do,
Papa Joe
thanks for the good teaching. However with the background with green to read blue on it is extremly difficult and tiersome. I believe easy to read colours are the best.

I was wondering how you came to this page. It is an old page and needs to be updated.
