A VISION OF A JESUS-FILLED WORLD COMING TO PASS

The Morning Star Rising on the First Day

A VISION OF THE CROSS COMING TO LIFE

Some weeks later, God showed me yet another vision. In this one, I saw an old wooden cross standing unattended on an otherwise barren hilltop. God had been aiding knowledge into my brain for some time to improve my understanding of what I experienced, so I knew the cross I saw to be Jesus’s crucifixion cross. It stood there unaided, tilting backward moderately and listed at about a forty-five-degree angle to one side. It appeared tattered, as if no one had been caring for it.

I lingered there momentarily to observe this cross in greater detail when, suddenly, something moved me nearer for a better view. My observation began by concentrating on the grain of the timbers, which gradually began to glow a fluorescent red-orange color resembling a hot electric stovetop burner.

Soon, the whole cross began glowing, faintly at first but gradually increasing in illumination until it was vibrantly beaming. The cross that had appeared dead just moments before came to life! Blood circulating through the lines of the grain became visible, appearing like the blood that flows through the veins of our bodies, transporting nutrients and revitalizing energy throughout the body.

Shortly afterward, the wood’s transparency increased, giving it a three-dimensional countenance. I could now see down into multiple layers of the wood as everything inside the cross became observable. Subsequently, the glowing red cross began firing randomly colored photons of enlightenment, one blast at a time, in seemingly random directions. Soon, the cross started emitting these photons rapidly, like a machine gun, into all areas of the Earth.

I now see this vision of the cross shooting photons of enlightenment across the Earth as a reoccurrence of what happened in Acts 2, in which the disciples were empowered by the Holy Spirit, who came in the form of tongues of fire and spoke in tongues such that all could understand their words. Here is the scripture which explains this. The photons of enlightenment are the Holy Spirit.

Coming of the Holy Spirit

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all [a]with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them [b]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The Crowd’s Response

And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each in our own [c]language in which we were born? Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and [d]Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” 12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”

13 Others mocking said, “They are full of new wine.”

Peter’s Sermon

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. 15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only [e]the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. 21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’

22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know 23 Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you [f]have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; 24 whom God raised up, having [g]loosed the [h]pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it. 25 For David says concerning Him:

‘I foresaw the Lord always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken. 26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope. 27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. 28 You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’ 29 “Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, [i]according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, 31 he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all Witnesses. 33 Therefore being exalted [j]to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

34 “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, 35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”‘ 36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” 38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [k]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

Let it be known that, according to one of Kim Clement’s prophecies, God has raised up one He calls My David, who lives among us today.

Take Up the Cross of Christ

I now realize this vision to imply that the Christians who seek to be members of the bride of Christ must have the fire of the living cross in their hearts. If they do so, they will do what Jesus did.

John 41:12 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Doing these things is how the bride prepares for Jesus’s second coming. The bride is ready for the return of the Bridegroom because she has taken up His cross. The cross of Christ must become alive in our hearts and minds. These things must happen for Jesus to come again.

That’s it for today. May God bless you and yours. And remember to:

A VISION OF A JESUS-FILLED WORLD COMING TO PASS

When Jesus’s disciples asked Him how they should pray, He gave them what is now called the Lord’s Prayer. It has endured for over two thousand years and is still prayed and reflected on today.

I have often prayed this prayer myself; still, in doing so, I often find myself seeking the meaning of the phrase “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” So, I searched the Bible for answers and was surprised at what I found. You might be surprised where this leads us as well.

Therefore, this post will clarify the verse”Your kingdom come.” It will present New Testament scriptures and my spiritual experiences and observations to illuminate the meaning of this prayer passage. In a future posting, we will address the second part of the passage, “Thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven.”

Thy Kingdom Come

We start with Luke 17:20-21

Jesus Confronting the Scribes and Pharisees

Now, when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the Kingdom of God is within you.”

Therefore, the Kingdom of God is not a physical location, political regime, government, or power but rather the presence of the Holy Spirit dwelling within us. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are evidence of this dwelling of the Kingdom of God in His people.

The Gifts of the Spirit Identified

Paul identifies the gifts of the Spirit in 1 Cor: 12 4-11.

Jesus heals the man at the pools.

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

When thy Kingdom comes, these gifts of the Spirit will manifest and be demonstrated in the power of the gifts of the Spirit. But is this the condition being demonstrated by God’s people today? We see long lists of sick people to pray for in our church bulletins every week. So, where is the gift of healing? Some churches have led their members to take the COVID-19 vaccines despite knowing that they contained the blood of aborted babies. This vaccine then proved to be unsafe and ineffective, killing hundreds of thousands and harming millions worldwide. So, where is the gift of wisdom and knowledge? Where is the gift of the prophetic? Why were we led by our own ministers to take what many believe is a bioweapon?

Why Do Spiritual Gifts Matter?

We live in a world where evil has been allowed to thrive, where the devil launches spiritual warfare campaigns against God’s people as if they are powerless. I know because I have been the victim of spiritual attacks, knowing nothing about spiritual warfare, and never realizing that I was even in such a war. Because of my ignorance, I became a human punching bag for the forces of evil.

The reality is that many evil people are running the world by doing the devil’s dirty work by way of spiritual warfare. They are lovers of money and power; they hate people, even advocating the killing of babies and using boys and girls as sex toys, then offering them up for Satanic sacrifice. They believe that they are superior to the rest of us. They seek to destroy our way of life, our freedoms, and our belief in God because they are in the way of their agenda. Therefore, their goal is to eliminate them, including our freedom of religion and speech, and to bear arms. They seek to end democracy by taking down America while destroying our constitution, thereby enabling them to rule over us and the world.

Think of Hitler’s Germany around the time of World War 2. Many people do not know that Germany had a democracy before Hitler took power. They did it by deploying a number of strategies. One was that they took control of the media and published propaganda designed to divide the people. Another was building political armies to force their will on the people, persecuting truth-tellers, and punishing political opponents. Their main target was the Jews, who were removed from their homes and businesses, placed in concentration camps, subjected to forced labor, and eventually killed. Those who objected to these practices were severely punished or killed such that after a while, no one dared say a word; their guns had been removed long before. Think of all the people who were involved in the persecution and killing of the Jews and decenters. Think of everyone who knew the horrors of what was happening but did not dare say or do anything. Think of how many churches and Christians knew of the injustice but remained mute.

These things are important to think about because the same strategy deployed by the German Nazis to overthrow democracy and freedom appears to be rolling out in America. Our mainstream news has become the propaganda organization for a political party at the behest of the so-called elites and the deep state. These news agencies heavily support political agendas which mirror the Nazi tactics of lies and deception. They shape the news to subtly turn truth into lies, to make good look evil and evil look good. Their biggest lies are the items they refuse to report because they implicate them and the agenda of their sponsors.

But then, they are not the only ones lying. Our politicians are telling lies constantly to support their political narratives that, in many ways, are anti-American. Pharmaceutical companies are lying to us, as are most government agencies like the FDA, the FBI, the IRS, and many others. Why are they lying to us? Because they do not want the people to know about their plan to take over your country and your liberty and eventually the rest of the world. Our government publishes over a million top-secret documents a year. What are these things that are denied to the public? Why is it that they, in some cases, vote in private? Who knows how many of these private or classified items are to cover up their illegal and immoral actions designed to take down America so that they can rule over you? Why? Because your values are in the way of their plans to extend their evil satanic practices.

Unelected employees in deep state government agencies have placed Christian organizations on the US terrorist list. Therefore, Christians are to be persecuted like the Jews were under the Nazis as the plans for a takeover are seemingly the same. The result is that evil flourishes as it goes unchecked in America today.

It makes one wonder if the body of the church has been empowered with the gifts of the spirit identified above. Is the body even seeking them? I wonder how many of us even know that we are in a spiritual war designed to eliminate us and our loved ones from the face of the earth. What spiritual gifts do you have in which to enter into the battle for Christianity, your nation, community, and family? If you don’t know, you are unprepared for the spiritual battles ahead. If you are not being attacked by the forces of evil, it may be because you have already been defeated. It takes purity to become a component of the bride of Christ (THE BRIDE OF CHRIST AND HER VISION.) More than this, we must take action against these forces of evil. Therefore, more than ever, the bride of Christ must put on the whole armor of God.

When “Thy Kingdom Come(s)” and dwells in you, you will be empowered by God’s Holy Spirit to do His will and engage in spiritual warfare. What does it mean to put on the whole armor of God before engaging in spiritual warfare?

The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

We can defeat those who seek to enslave us as they did in the Crossing the Red Sea

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Therefore, seek the Kingdom of God that is the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Identify and exercise the gifts of the Spirit that God has given you. Put on the whole armor of God and engage in the battle against God’s people for the dominion of the Earth.

In my next posting, I will present the second part of this verse, “Thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven,” where we will learn what we are to do that has already been done in heaven.

Until then, may God bless, and remember to:

The Morning Star Rising on the First Day

The Books of Moses and the Future of Christianity

Today we are starting a new section that will take a look at the actions of God and His people that led to the building of a place where God could dwell with His people. This place was the Tabernacle that was built to the exact specifications that God the Father delivered to Moses.

Jesus and Moses at the Transfiguration Discuss the Fulfillment of the Tabernacles Prophesy

We initiate this new section because we believe that these actions of God and His people (the ones that were recorded in the books written by Moses), are prophetic of the walk of the Christian nation.

The Ark Brings Down the Walls of Jerico

We believe that these prophetic actions are applicable to every church, ministry and individual seeking to carry on the ministry that was started by Jesus, and we hope to be able to demonstrate this as we move forward.

We believe that this is the case because the premise identified above is simply an extension of the prophesies of the Tabernacle, a topic that we have already covered extensively in this web site (https://possessthevision.wordpress.com/). If this is your first time here, we should say that our previous work revealed that the Tabernacle to be a prophetic model to guides our path toward building closer, more intimate relationships with God. For example, we are initially lead into a relationship of grace in which our sins are forgiven and we change our nature by integrating the words and actions of Jesus into ourselves (the baptism of the word of God – The-tabernacle-courtyard-is-prophetic-of-jesus-a-review). We then are led into a relationship of empowerment where our pathway is illuminated, we achieve a familial relationship with the Father and we are empowered for spiritual warfare by the Holy Spirit through prayer. If we can achieve this level of closeness to God, then He may lead us into an relationship of covenant with Him. There we will talk to God face to face, see His provision at a supernatural level and see our ministry lead His people into the spiritual Promised Land.

Jesus is the Light of the World

With all of this said, it is our hope that the coming investigative work will reveal even more insights into how to further direct our steps toward God. I hope you enjoy the work that is to come.

The Morning Star Rising on the First Day

The Work of the Holy Spirit in Ministry – Modern Day Miracles

When our church decided to launch a program to increase membership, they secured speaking engagements from a number of well-known evangelists and pastors and offered special church services over a single weekend. To ensure that the public knew about the opportunity, they invested in an advertising campaign.

The church wanted everyone who attended these special events to get the message of our church out to our community. Therefore, they set up a number of tables just outside the church to sell books, videos, audiotapes, and other religious items. I had been asked to work the table that offered videotapes of a famous evangelist. In the course of the assignment, I struck up a conversation with an interesting man who came by the table. He mentioned that he had a food distribution ministry and had connections with several salmon companies in Alaska. These companies had a unique situation.

Due to government regulations, the fishermen had to collectively limit the amount of fish they sold each day. If they caught more than the legal limit on any given day, they had to dispose of the excess fish. This typically resulted in taking the excess fish back out to sea and dumping them in the ocean. As a result, the fishermen were dumping large volumes of fish back into the ocean on a regular basis. Now, this is where the opportunity came in. Although they could not sell the excess fish, they were allowed to donate it to a charitable organization. This was where his ministry came into play. He said that he worked with a number of people who would process and freeze the fish and others who would deliver it, all for free. I thought that this could be a great opportunity for our church food distribution program. This man seemed like a nice person, but I decided to check him out before doing anything. I asked him if he had worked with anyone else in our area. He mentioned two organizations, one about which he had many great things to say. He indicated that this organization was led by the Holy Spirit, and that the anointing there was unbelievable. The name of this organization is Friend Ships.

I was very impressed with what he told me about Friend Ships, so I called them and set up an appointment to meet one of their representatives. I also arranged for Johnnie, Wanda, and two other couples to see this organization with us. One day after work we drove over to the Friend Ships’ warehouse on the Long Beach docks. We entered the office area but found that the person we were scheduled to meet with was not there for some reason. However, there was another man there who seemed very interested in us. He introduced himself as Don Tipton. We were soon to find out that he was founder and leader of the Friend Ships organization. What an amazing and rare organization Friend Ships turned out to be.  At that time they did not ask for money. In fact, they operated very well with little money because every worker was a volunteer. No one was paid a salary, including Don and his wife, Sondra.

One thing that we noticed while we were there was that there was a lack of any organizational structure and minimal planning activities. I thought that anyone who came here from corporate America would be amazed at how this group got anything done at all. The irony of all of this was their tremendous ability to deliver food, supplies, equipment, and all sorts of other things to people who really needed it. This was all explained by the fact that they had a secret weapon—their faith in Jesus Christ. They simply stepped out in faith and trusted in God for what they needed. Time after time they watched in awe as God came through again and again.

Remember: Peter Walked on Water until he Doubted

Let me give you an example. They had a food distribution program in which they collected and distributed food for the poor each Saturday morning. Amazingly, they did not make any arrangements for people to bag the food into distribution packets so that the food could be easily passed out to the poor and needy. People just showed up. The right number of people showed up at just the right time to get the job done. They trusted in God, and God delivered.

The entire operation was run this way—on God power. There was something special about Don that I liked right away. He was a no-nonsense kind of guy. He had seen it all, and he was serious about his commitment to God. He told us a story of how he brought his wife to Jesus prior to their marriage. They had read the entire Bible together, and once they did, the call of God became clear to them, and they went into full-time ministry.

They sold their Beverly Hill’s polo field and other businesses and started their ministry by simply stepping out in faith. Their vision was to collect surplus food from the wealthiest country in the world—the United States of America—and distribute it to the poor and the hungry people of the world.

Don told us all about their ministry, and how they got started. For example, he told us a story of how their first ship was donated to them. Soon after they had entered full-time ministry, they found their heart was for the poor and starving people all over the world. But to care for them, they would require a ship to transport goods they had collected to the places where people needed them. So, they started praying for an ocean-going ship, but nothing happened at first. Consequently, they said to themselves, we must step out in faith and start looking at ships that are for sale.

One day Don went to look at a 300-foot ocean transport ship. The owner took him on a tour of the ship showing him everything it had to offer. After the tour, the owner invited Don to have a cup of coffee with him, and they sat down to talk. The owner was obviously very interested in selling the ship, and he immediately started to negotiate the price with Don. This, however, made Don uncomfortable because he did not know how to tell the man he didn’t have the money to buy it. Eventually, he told the owner that he ran a food distribution ministry and hoped that he would donate the ship to them. The owner agreed immediately. All he had to do was to come over the following day and sign the papers. That is how Friend Ships got into the shipping business. They stepped out in faith, and God delivered.

But now they had to find a place to store the items to be shipped when the ship was out to sea making deliveries. They found a warehouse that was not being used and got permission from the owner to use it rent free until he could sell it. That owner sold the property after six months, but the new owner extended the agreement with them until he could lease the warehouse to someone else. The result was that they were able to use the warehouse for an additional eighteen months prior to finding their next warehouse in Los Angeles.

Again, they stepped out in faith and God delivered. This kind of thing was the norm for this ministry. There are so many stories like this about Friend Ships. Miracles prevented disaster, money was given just when they needed it, and skilled people like retired naval officers showed up saying that God sent them.

Don explained that their food collection depended on what the local businesses gave them. They also worked with church groups and other individuals to distribute the food locally to the poor. Clearly, God was blessing this ministry. Don explained all of this as he escorted us through the warehouse. We got to see, first hand, all the items that they had collected and eventually would be shipped overseas. The items consisted of all of the things that are needed to support a community including —school desks, fire fighting equipment, and medical equipment. The Holy Spirit was overseeing it all. Pat and I broke off from the group for a while and walked through all three floors of the warehouse, crying like babies most of the time. We were humbled how God had supported this ministry.

Don took us out to the dock where the newest of their three ships was being renovated for duty. The ship was longer than a football field and more than five stories above the water line. The ship was being renovated to become a floating hospital. Their plan was to bring the ship into various ports around the world to deliver medical attention to the poor. As they brought people aboard ship for treatment, there would be opportunity to tell them about Jesus. We walked through the ship and found a great number of people working to convert it for her new mission. I thought: the ship is huge, what a job it is going to be to make her ready for the mission.

The Holy Spirit was on the ship as well. Don brought us to one of the finished meeting rooms and led us in prayer. I believe that every one of us had tears in our eyes in the midst of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. What a pleasure to find a ministry working under the pure guidance and direction of God. I guess that you could say that we got more than we bargained for, but somewhere along the way we did manage to ask Don about the man who had the salmon fish distribution ministry. He indicated that he knew him, and he had been there to visit with them but they had only gotten a couple hundred pounds of fish from him.

Subsequently, this information did not sway us one way or the other. We did not get what we went for, but God delivered what He wanted us to have. He was providing information once-again. This time it was to see how He worked with His people. He showed us a ministry that was His ministry. It ran with volunteer help and required very little money. It was a ministry that was directed by the Holy Spirit with little planning and organization. This ministry just stepped out in faith and learned to depend on Him. He showed us that miracles are still happening today. God has a heart for the poor and the needy. He showed us a ministry focused on building communities and enabling people to better care for their families. If you would like to know more about the Friend Ships ministry, read the book entitled, Jesus and Company—Part 1 by Don and Sondra Tipton. Information on how to order the book or learn more about the ministry is on the Internet. Simply go to http://friendships.org/

Thank you, Don and Sondra, for being such a true example of what it means to be a Christian.

The Morning Star Rising on the First Day

Read the truly amazing life story about how the forces of good and evil battle over a man and the vision that God gives him. Joseph W. Gordon’s Possess the Vision (Xulon Press, $12.95, 140 pages, ISBN 1-59781-205-6) tells about the mysterious spiritual experiences that occur throughout his lifetime.

THE CORE BELIEFS OF A CHRISTIAN MINISTRY

In addition to the core values of a Christian Ministry (as presented in our last posting,) core beliefs are an integral component of our values. These fundamental beliefs are the basis of our ability to work together in ministry. They are the core commonality of our faith and of ability to work with Christians in multi-denominational ministries (like we discussed a few postings ago.) Like core values, core beliefs also serve to constrain our partners in ministry to people who are aligned on the fundamental principles of Christianity.

The following list reflects our core beliefs:

Jesus is the Son of God, and that He came to earth to tell us about the Father and to demonstrate His love for us.

Jesus heals the man at the pools.

His love was manifest in the sacrifice of His life on the cross, which was offered up for the forgiveness of our sin.

Jesus Sheds His Blood on the Cross

He defeated evil in His resurrection from the dead.

Jesus at the Tomb

He ascended into heaven where He is our advocate with the Father.

The Ascension of Jesus

He has sent us His Holy Spirit to enlighten our path and empowers us for spiritual warfare.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost

The enlightened path of the Holy Spirit will lead us to the Father who will be faithful in His covenant promises to those who are steadfast to the end.

Of course, it would seem to me that the Nicene Creed serves this purpose very well as well. I know that it is used by many of our denominations as well and so I will provide a copy here for your reference.

We believe in one God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man, and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried, and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father. And he shall come again with glory to judge both the quick and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life, who proceedeth from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified, who spoke by the prophets. And we believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. And we look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

We as Christians, therefore, should unite on these core values and beliefs by sharing what we have with the world. More specifically, we must share our knowledge, skills, and know how. To use an old analogy, we must teach them to fish rather than simply giving them fish. This being the case, we must proceed hand in hand toward the development and use of technologies that enable us to work together more effectively (presented previously.) In walking together in this way, we will demonstrate the love we have for our brothers and sisters in the world, and we will be doing what Jesus would have us do—have compassion on the poor and hungry.

The Morning Star Rising on the First Day

A VISION OF A JESUS-FILLED WORLD COMING TO PASS

How My Visions Began – A Review

The messages from God began immediately after I surrendered to Jesus, expressing my willingness to follow His guidance. A day later, God showed me a vision of the Earth evolving into a perpetually blossoming flower. After being awestruck by the beauty of this sight, God pulled me inside the Earth through a portal, where I saw a gigantic Jesus that filled the Earth from pole to pole, holding out His arms such that I believed He was giving blessings to the people of the Earth (The Revelation: Earth Blooming into a Jesus-Filled Flower.)

After the weeks and months that followed, God was actively putting things in place to move us to where He wanted us to go. He then moved us halfway across the country, leading us to better employment and a Holy Spirit-filled church. We participated in a prayer group meeting where I had the experience of being a member of the bride of Christ, hearing her thoughts and reflections on her love for Jesus and the victory over Satan. In a recent post, I shared the details of this experience and conveyed insights about THE-BRIDE-OF-CHRIST-AND-HER-VISION, highlighting her attributes, nature, and mission.

So, God had me on the fast track, so to speak. In two of my prior postings, I wrote about hearing the audible voice of God calling my name and then giving me a vision of a straight path leading to the glory of God. An artist’s rendition of the straight path is displayed at the top of this page.

The Vision of a White Dove that Flew Toward Me

One day, an evangelist (Rodney Howard-Browne, pastor of The River Church in Tampa Bay) came to minister to our church (Melody-Land.) My wife and were rather impressed with his message that Sunday, and we were very excited to hear that he would extend his stay to preach several more days that week. I wanted to attend each of his services, but since I worked in Burbank and the church was located in Anaheim, I would have to drive 50 miles across the heart of downtown Los Angeles. The commute time alone would be an hour in each direction. Yet, I had some flexibility in my schedule, so I planned to take an early lunch, attend the service for about an hour, and then return to work stay late to make up for the lost time, which I set out to do.

I never thought such an effort to grow closer to Goe would result in marvelous or miraculous consequences. Yet, something glorious was about to happen as I drove down US Interstate 5 that day.

As it happened, my mind wandered as I drove in heavy traffic. I suddenly I noticed a white dove flying against the traffic in the distance over the highway. It seemed very strange that a bird would be flying along the path of such a busy throughfare, so I look for clues that may explain this.  It was flying straight toward me, coming directly down the lane in which I was driving. I noticed that the bird seemed to be flying directly toward me, down the lane where I was driving, and coming very quickly. As far as I could tell, it was pure white. As it neared, I saw its eyes focused on me as its wings flapped rapidly as if it had somewhere crucial to go.

I then discerned that the dove was flying directly toward my windshield. When a collision seemed imminent, I braced myself and turned my face away to protect myself from breaking glass, but as it turned out, there was no impact and no breakage. Perhaps the dove swooped away at the last second, just inches from the windshield. But, reflecting on this event now, the Holy Spirit let me know He was with me and was pleased by my efforts to find Him and develop a personal relationship with Him. This is the way that the Holy Spirit manifested Himself to me that day.

One thing is sure: the Holy Spirit will be the helper of everyone who earnestly seeks Him.

The Tabernacle Is Prophetic Of Jesus

The Tabernacle was built to be the earthly abode of God: the place where God would dwell among His people. By looking at the following diagram you will be able to see how the Tabernacle was organized.

tabernacle-diagram2

There will also be pictures associated with the folowing text that may help in visualizing what the tabernacle may have looked like.

The Tabernacle
The Tabernacle

The Tabernacle

Moses built the Tabernacle in strict conformance to the specifications given by God. For example, in the following scripture God gives Moses a detailed list of items that are required to build the Tabernacle:

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering. And this is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, and bronze; blue, purple, and scarlet thread, fine linen, and goats’ hair; ram skins dyed red, badger skins, and acacia wood; oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense; onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate. And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it.” (Exodus 25:1-9)

Statements like this one are frequently found in the scriptures written by Moses. Many of these references emphasize building of the Tabernacle precisely to God’s instructions. This fact suggests that the form and content of the Tabernacle is extremely important to God; that perhaps it is designed on a heavenly model, one that will enable Him to dwell among His people. If this is the case, then the Tabernacle must be prophetic of the Christ who would also come to dwell with God’s people. Over the centuries the intention of God to dwell with His people did not change as even today, He continues to strive to restore the relationship man lost with Him at the fall. Therefore, the scriptures that define the specifications, processes and objects found in the Tabernacle reflect the will of God to abide with us, and as a result, must also be applicable to the attributes, words and life of Christ who was sent to accomplish God’s intention.

Jesus, Moses and the Tabernacle
Jesus, Moses and the Tabernacle

Jesus is the Fulfillment of the Tabernacle

We are going to look at the Tabernacle scriptures as they are prophetic of Christ. If Jesus is the Christ then the attributes and characteristics of the Tabernacle must be clearly demonstrated in His words and deeds. What we are about to reveal is that there is a precise correlation between the Tabernacle and Jesus. It is for this reason that we will use the scriptural specifications for each component of the Tabernacle to prove that Jesus is the Christ. In the process we will also uncover many hidden attributes of Jesus that will serve to help us better understand His nature.

The Ascension of Jesus
The Ascension of Jesus

Remember that Jesus claimed to be “the Way, the Truth and the Life.” By referencing the diagram above we can see that these names (the Way, the Truth and the Life) are also used to identify the entryways into the major compartments of the Tabernacle. The Way leads us into the Courtyard,

The Tabernacle Courtyard
The Tabernacle Courtyard

the Truth leads us into the Holy Place,

Priest in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle
Priest in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle

and the Life leads us into the Most Holy Place.

priest-and-holy-of-holies

It should also be noted that the Tabernacle is constructed in such a way that these passageways must be entered in this prescribed sequence. Therefore, the Way must be entered prior to entering the Truth, and in turn, the Truth must be entered prior to entering the Life.

What we have discovered here is that the words of Jesus that proclaim His identity lead us directly to the Tabernacle. Therefore His claim is that He is the portal into the places that God designed as the place to dwell with His people here on earth. Therefore, our plan is to investigate each of these three chambers in an effort to identify what it is that Jesus is leading us toward. What we will find is that Jesus is drawing us into a closer relationship with God the Father. Jesus uses the Tabernacle as a road map for us to understand what it is that we will find when we enter into a personal relationship with Him. We can proceed into Jesus with confidence because the actions and words of His life demonstrate that He is a far superior substitution for each and every component of the Tabernacle. This proof is a major focus of this blog and the teachings that accompany it will lead us into a much better understanding of who Jesus is. This in turn will lead us to grow and strengthen our relationship with Him.

From a bigger picture point of view, we are about to discover that the structure of the Tabernacle will communicate that there are three separate and distinct levels of relationship that a person can have with God. That these relationships can only be obtained in a prescribed sequence that corresponds to chambers of the Tabernacle. In fact, we will develop a progressively deeper relationship with God as we enter each successive chamber and find the gifts that God has waiting for those who seek Him with all their heart.

While all of this is quite mysterious at a high level, we plan to present the details in subsequent postings. For now we will present a high level overview of our journey through the Tabernacle and its correlation with the life of Jesus. With that said let us start with the Tabernacle Courtyard. Do We Have the Love of Jesus in our Heart

Continuing our discussion from our past posting we now address another important point. Based on the scriptures presented in that posting, we suggest that the law of the Jews is replaced by the love in the hearts of the true followers of Jesus. To illustrate the case in point, the law states: “Thou shall not commit adultery,” but Jesus teaches us that it is a matter of the heart:

You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Clearly this is a higher standard that simply refraining from the act alone. This higher standard requires a change in heart, something that the law could not provide.

After all, what kind of heart will not resist an evil person but turn the other cheek? What kind of heart will give a thief both the cloak as well as the coat? What kind of heart will give to those who ask and not turn away? What kind of heart gives love their enemies, blesses those that curse them, does good to people that hate them and prays for those who despitefully use and persecute them?

Disciples Carry Jesus Down From The Cross

It takes a perfect heart. What kind of heart does it take to pray to truly seek and worship God rather than pray for our own selfish desires? What kind of heart will fast simply to shed the bonds of the flesh so as to move closer to God? What kind of heart will turn aside the treasures of the earth in favor of the treasures of Heaven? What kind of heart will sell all they have and follow Jesus? Whose heart will trust Him in all things?

Hearts can only be changed by the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit

This infilling comes only when we seek to move closer to God, to change our lives and to become more like Jesus. The Holly Spirit comes only to those who seek Him. It is our choice to do so and our actions and commitment reaffirm this desire. God will not come to us uninvited.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost

So seek Him with all of you mind, body and spirit.  And pray!

The Power of Prayer

Expect Miracles in the Name of Jesus

Interestingly enough, Jesus was sent to earth as an ordinary man. This ordinary man was then empowered by the Holy Spirit and entered into the ministry that His Father gave Him. As we have been discussing all along, Jesus left us His ministry to carry forward and He left us His life as an example of what we should become and what kinds of things we should do. Therefore, if Jesus is to be our model of the life that we should also live, then we also should expect to enter into our ministry empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the will of the Father. To explore this a bit further, let’s take a look at an example of how Jesus sent His disciples into ministry:

After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither He himself would come. Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. Luke 10:1-9

Jesus sent the seventy to the places that He would also go. He empowered them to heal the sick and to communicate that the kingdom of God is near. He therefore gives them the mission of doing the will of the Father and personally empowers them with the Holy Spirit. We know that this is true because of His words in the following scripture:

Jesus did what He saw the Father do:

Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:19-24)

In addition, Jesus prayed for our unity with God. He prayed that we be one with Him — We in Him, and He in us — the Father in Him and He in the Father. If we are to be one with Jesus then we will do the things that Jesus shows us. Therefore, the Life of Jesus is the perfect life that we should emulate. We should seek to do as He did, say the things that He said and have the same effect that He did when He walked the earth. Through out the course of our postings we have presented many examples that support the proposition that the life of Jesus was given to us to be used as the model of what we can become.

All that is required is to step out in faith in response to what Jesus places in your heart. Eliminate all doubt and concern about looking foolish as God rewards people who have perfect faith. He is looking for people who are willing to risk looking like fools in the eyes of nonbelievers because it is only when they see the impossible achieved by the hand of God that they will truly come to believe that God exists.

The Bible is filled with people who had this kind of faith in God. Moses had the faith to lift His staff in expectation that the waters of the Jordan River would part. Moses had perfect faith that God support His mission because he received it directly from God. He therefore was not concerned about the opinions of the people. When the waters parted the people knew that God had delivered them.

It was the same in the life of Jesus. He had to speak words of faith to cast out demons and to heal the sick. He could do this because the direction He was undertaking was one that the Father showed Him. He had to put his reputation on the line that the Father would honor and support His actions in support of His mission that the Father gave Him. He certainly was not concerned with what others might think about these actions. There certainly was no concern for the opinions of the Scribes, the Pharisees, the money changers or the demons.

We, in turn, have to take action that demonstrates our faith in God to support the initiatives that God gives us. We have to initiate the action and have faith to know beyond doubt that He will support what He initiates. If we do these things, then we will be like Jesus. Take the step, speak the word, and take the action necessary to get things moving. Once that is accomplished, then simply step back and watch the power of the Holy Spirit take action.

Jesus Follows you into Ministry

It is very interesting that when Jesus sent 70 of His disciples into ministry (see Jesus-Provides-All-that-we-Need), that He sent them to the places that He would latter visit in His ministry.

Jesus is the Light of the Wordl

Jesus is the Light of the Wordl

From this we should understand a couple of things. First, that our ministry is the ministry of Jesus. Our entering into ministry should be in the direction that He sends us. Secondly, we should understand that when Jesus sends us then He will follow and support the effort.

It is only after we have stepped out in faith that the Holy Spirit comes to empower us and enable us to be victorious over the forces of evil.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost

His support is necessary to accomplishment all that He has asked us to do.

When this happens others will see that the accomplishments are impossible without God. It is in this manner that God gets the glory that He desires and truly deserves. So, our faith is necessary to take action, but the power of the Lord is necessary for success. After all, we know that without God we can do nothing. Remember the verse about the true vine?:

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

The key point here is that ministry must be about Jesus and not about us. It is not our ministry but His. We are simply His agents designated to finish the work that He started. Our ministry and our lives therefore become a focus on Him. Our part in ministry is to step out in faith and to live as purely as we can. His part is to reinforce our efforts with signs and wonders through the power of His Holy Spirit.
