STANDING FIRM FOR WHAT GOD PUT INTO MY HEART

In a series of prior postings I have communicated how a life threatening illness sent me to the emergency room where the doctors did not expect me to live through the night. Being close to death, my spirit left my body and I experienced the truth of our spiritual reality. I traveled to and swam in the Lake of Fire (also called the second death) where I experienced unimaginable horrors. I then went into Hell where I was confronted by Satan and experienced the incredible hatred that he has for me. Next I traveled to the Judgment Seat of Christ and heard the words from God that no one wants to hear, which were, “Why should you live?”

But I made a promise to God that I would be better if He would work with me. The next thing that I knew was that I woke up in the intensive care center. I had lived through the night but what was about to become clear was that the battle for my life was not over. My problem was an exploding pancreas was filling my body with powerful digestive enzymes capable of decomposing the internal organs of my body. So in effect, my body was disintegrating from the inside out. To slow down enzyme production I was placed on a strict fast until such time as a more definitive direction could be made. Then suddenly my vocal cords became swollen and choked off my air supply and an emergency operation was performed that saved my life. Another operation was performed to insure that I had proper levels of nutrition entering my body. Next my doctors wanted to perform an operation to repair my broken pancreas. But a second opinion told another story and set off another battle for my life. Here is the rest of the story.

 

The good news of the second opinion was forwarded to the hospital staff, and I was not surprised that they totally disagreed with it. Nor was I surprised when the hospital surgeon warned me that I would experience serious consequences if I did not have the operation. The use of the word “would,” was definitely deployed to strike fear and doubt into my mind. Perhaps they really believed what they were saying. Or, perhaps they just wanted to save face. The thought in my mind at that time was, “surgeons only make the big money when they operate.”

But this was a full assault and as I was soon to find out, they were my immediate family members as well. It wasn’t very long before they were also trying to persuade me to go forward with the operation as well. After all, they were fearful of losing me.

I knew in my heart from the very beginning that I would live. I must have picked up this positive attitude simply by making it through the first night. I, therefore, rejected the bad report and never, ever entertained it in my mind or heart. You see, I had believed in a good report even before there was a good report to believe. In my heart, I knew that I did not need the operation, and I told the hospital doctors and everyone else who came to see me.

This was not faith on my part but rather a knowing. I told them that I would not have the operation. Many people tried to change my mind but I told them that I would not. The doctors tried several different strategies to get me to recant. My answer was always unwavering and to the point. Unfortunately, they pressed me to the point that I had to rudely tell them that this was the end of the line and that there would be not be any more discussion about the operation.

Interestingly enough, by chance I ran into this surgeon on an airport shuttle bus several years later. I was in much better health at the time and was in very good shape and had lost a lot of weight because I had been playing quite a lot of racquetball. Because of this he must not have recognized me, so I introduced myself. Would you believe that he started preaching to me about the operation again? I guess he just did not get the message. He refused to believe the test results that showed that the pseudo-cysts had disappeared. There was nothing left on which to operate! Interesting, isn’t it.

This is how it is with the unbelieving. They see with their eyes, but their minds don’t comprehend. They hear with their ears, but they don’t understand the truth.

It has been twenty-five years since all of this happened and, thank God, there have never been any repercussions from my decision at that time. Sometimes you just have to go with the message that God has put in your heart despite all of the negatives going on around you.

Then, for some reason I picked up a Bible one day. I had never read it before but since I had the time I thought that perhaps it would be as good a time as any. I was still in the hospital and was tired most of the time. I would often read just a few chapters at a time because even reading tired me. I started by reading the book of Matthew and hung in there until I eventually finished the entire book. I read the words but for what ever reason, they did not hit home. I remember thinking that they did not seem to make any sense. They left me feeling flat. The book of Matthew seemed like a series of nice stories—not much more. I wondered why anyone would get so excited about these simple stories. After finishing Matthew, I continued reading but after a while I gave up. The Bible just did not make much of an impression on me. Little did I know at the time that God would honor my meager attempt to find Him. The following paragraphs tell the story of what happened shortly afterward.

A HEALING MIRACLE

Jesus Heals the Leper

After being in the hospital for a couple of months, my surgeon came to talk to me. This was shortly after I had a second set of CAT scan examination performed. These examinations were performed to look at my pancreas and to determine weather it has healing or if I would need an operation.  My doctor communicated that the pseudo cysts on my pancreas were not being reabsorbed. This meant that I would need surgery to correct this condition. He also said that in the short term they posed little risk because the pseudo cyst tissues were soft. Over time they would harden and be in danger of breaking. Therefore, he indicated that it would be very dangerous to leave these pseudo cysts in their current condition.

He provided me with a long list of reasons why my condition was dangerous and recommended a pancreas operation when I got stronger. When I inquired about the risks of the operation he explained that the procedure would be very complex and risky. They would have to make a fifteen-inch cut in my abdomen and physically remove my stomach, kidneys and much of my intestines just to get to the pancreas. All of this would be necessary because the pancreas is located just inside the backbone and it is inaccessible from the back.

Once the internal organs were out of the way, the pseudo cysts would be lanced and then sewn to the wall of the intestines. This procedure would enable the pseudo-cysts to drain directly into the intestines where the powerful enzymes excreted by the pancreas would not be harmful. Once this phase of the operation was complete, they would replace the removed organs and stitch me up.

The surgeon again admitted that this procedure was classified as extremely risky. On the other hand, he believed that the risk was warranted as he was sure that I would have major, potentially fatal, problems without it.

But the complexity and risk of this operation seemed excessive to me. After all, I had believed from the very first day that I would recover and that everything would be fine. In fact, during my hospitalization I refused to let any negative thoughts into my mind. Bad news from the surgeon was not going to change my mind about the overall outcome. It seemed to me that the risk of the surgery was greater than the potential problem with my pancreas. The surgery just seemed intrinsically wrong. It felt wrong in my head and wrong in my gut.

Members of my immediate family thought otherwise however. They certainly knew much better than I just how lucky I was to be alive (since the doctors told them that I would not live through the first night but chose to keep me in the dark.) After discussing this situation with them, I decided to get a second opinion. So, I contacted my family doctor to see if he could help.

He did some research and found a very experienced pancreatic specialist who was assigned to another hospital in town. Little did I know what a firestorm would be started by bringing in a doctor from another hospital. Apparently, this kind of thing was just not done. My viewpoint was that I did not understand why anyone would want to do it any other way. I already knew that the other doctors in the hospital would agree with their cohort’s opinion. What I needed was a fresh set of eyes, an open and independent mind, and an environment free from political influence. My family doctor did an excellent job playing the middleman in making it happen. He pulled strings to get the independent second opinion set up.

The day that the doctor from the other hospital showed up, I could hear the nurses and the doctors talking about it in the halls. In fact, it seemed that everyone in the building was talking about it. With all the fuss you would have thought that someone had robbed a bank. In any event, the new doctor showed up and did an excellent job. He asked me a lot of questions, examined me, reviewed my records, and ordered a completely new battery of tests including CAT scans, X-rays, and blood tests. A few weeks later he reported his analysis of the new tests, and the results were shocking. He reported that the pseudo-cysts were shrinking! That meant that I would not need this very dangerous operation.

By comparing the two sets of CAT scans, he was able to report that the pseudo-cysts were smaller than before, which meant that they were being reabsorbed into my pancreas. He projected that within three to six months time that they would be gone completely. My body was being healing! This was great news.

However, I did not give God any of the credit at the time. I thought that it was my good positive attitude, a strong body, and good luck. It was quite a bit later in my life that I came to know the love of Jesus that I truly understood what really happened. When I look back at this event now it is as clear as crystal that God intervened. Something happened between my first and second battery of tests, and that something was that I had tried to find God by picking up a Bible and reading it. Regardless of how feeble the effort was, God responded with a healing miracle! It did not even matter that I found the experience empty; God honored my search for Him. It was as if God was saying to me, “Okay son, you took one step in My direction, and you think that nothing will come of it. But, you have My heart. I am going to show you that I am real. My desire is that you live.”

Interestingly, I did not even ask for healing but simply reached out to try to find Him. Sweet God in heaven, I praise Your holy and sacred name. I praise You for loving someone unworthy of Your love. Someone who could never change the error of his ways without Your love.

As you can see, God was there again. He was looking out for me and taking care of me even when I did not know it. I think about these things now and wonder why the Lord would love me so. He has saved me from the lake of fire and brimstone, from the pit of hell and the savagery of the devil. He has given me life even though I stood before Him on the Day of Judgment with the stains of sin all over me.

But the battle was not over. The second opinion was not received well by all of the members of my immediate family. In addition, it was not received well by the hospital doctors either. In my next posting I will tell how they both tried to get me to have the operation anyway.

Who is The Judge on Judgment Day?

In prior postings I have communicated how a life threatening illness sent me to the emergency room where the doctors did not expect me to live through the night. That night I left my body and entered the spiritual realm. I was taken to the Lake of Fire which is also called the second death. I was taken to Hell and felt the incredible hatred of Satan. Then I was taken the Judgment Seat of Christ and asked, “Why should you live?”

I believe that it is important to examine these events in the context of the Bible. By looking at these experiences from a biblical perspective we will learn that these events are a spiritual reality. They are not simply a bad dream as some may perceive them to be. As we proceed, I will reflect on my experience and validate and enhance it with scripture. In doing this I believe that the scriptures will bring to light fundamental messages that God has communicated to His people over the course of thousands of years.

In a previous postings (Judgment-Day, Reliving-my-sins-before-the-Judgment-Seat-of-Christ, and Gods-Question-on-Judgment-Day), I stood in a broad and peaceful place before the judge of the universe. However, I could not see anything because of the cloud like covering in this place.

The Judgment Seat of Christ

Since I was returned to the physical earth to continue my life, I was not judged and therefore did not suffer the second death. So the question becomes; to whom do I owe my salvation? Who sits on the throne of judgment?

And crying out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb! (Revelation 7:10).

I was not judged deserving of the second death despite the fact that my garments were soiled with the visible stains of my sins. So the question has to be; who has the power to forgive sin?

But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins; He said to the paralytic, I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house (Mark 2:10 – 11).

Jesus heals the man at the pools.

I learned that there was only truth in the place where I was asked, “Why should you live?” But, who is it that judges the living and the dead?

I charge you, therefore, before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom (2 Timothy 4:1).

The answer is that Jesus the Christ of Nazareth is our Lord and Savior. I had made poor choices in my life but Jesus covered me with His blood and kept me from the fate I deserved, the second death.

Jesus Sheds His Blood on the Cross

This story provides insight into the meaning of our lives because it accurately describes the consequences of poor choices. I had made the poor choice of disbelieving in the existence of the devil and God revealed the truth to me. The truth is that the devil, hell, the lake of fire and brimstone, the judgment by Christ and the second death are the consequences of our poor choices. God, Jesus, heaven and life everlasting are the consequences of our good choices.

THE SECOND DEATH

In prior postings I have communicated how a life threatening illness took me to the emergency room of a hospital where the doctors did not expect me to live through the night. At some point during that night I left my body behind and entered into the spiritual realm. In the spirit I was taken to the Lake of Fire which is the second death. From there I was taken to Hell, where I faced Satan and felt his incredible hatred of me. All of this culminated on the Judgment Seat of Christ where I was asked, “Why should you live?”

I believe that it is important to examine the events I have already reported to you in the context of the Bible. By looking at these experiences from a Biblical perspective we will find that what some may perceive as a very bad dream was in fact, a spiritual reality. I say this because it is substantiated in the Bible and proclaimed by God’s prophets. As we proceed, I will reflect on my experience and contrast it to scripture. In doing this I believe that the scriptures will bring to light fundamental messages that God has communicated to His people over the course of thousands of years.

As I stood in Judgment before God (see the last four hyperlinks above) it dawned on me that only truth existed in the place of judgment before God. I also somehow knew that the pending judgment before me had a consequence of the second death. A death that is a spiritual death that can occur after our physical death.

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” (Revelation 20:18).

I thought to myself that back in our natural world, I had no clue that such a thing even existed. If I had read the bible then I would have been aware of the following:

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” (Revelation 2:11).

This verse also applies:

Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things, which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works (Revelation 20:11 – 13).

The second death is the end of hell and of death. The result is the total elimination of evil.

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death (Revelation 20:14).

There will also be an elimination of dying, pain, and tears. Sadly, there will be no more chance for repentance. There will be no chance for those whose name is absent from the Book of Life:

This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15).

But for the followers of Jesus, things will be much different.

Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. (Revelation 20:6).

Confirming the Existence of the Lake of Fire

To this point I have communicated things to you that by worldly standards are quite unbelievable. However, if one looks to the scriptures they will find that a vast majority of them are confirmed there. For a long time these experiences terrified me and as a result, I refused to think about them and certainly did not tell anyone. I really did not understand my experience until after I was born again and studied the scriptures that I understood what God had done for me. I was through these events that started to understand that God had a different plan for my life. His way of continuing our relationship was to show me the truth about the purpose of this life, myself and where my life choices were taking me.

What is certain is that God loved me enough to give me a second chance to make the right decisions about my life. I did not deserve this opportunity but He gave it freely out of His love for me. I knew that if He did this much for me when I did not deserve it, He would continue to bless me from that point as well.

Everything changed when I finally accepted the truth that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. When I did God placed favor in my life, and He became more real than I could have ever anticipated.

The purpose of this and subsequent postings is to communicate the results of my bible study, which confirms my entire out of body experience. As a byproduct, it also confirms the spiritual reality of why we are here on this earth and the consequences of our choices and actions. My plan is to present one component per posting until I have completed them all. The first to be addressed is: THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE


THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE

The Lake of Fire and Brimstone is the eternal destination for Satan, the beast, the false prophet, death, Hades and everyone whose name is not written in the book of Life:

The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10).

In my out of body experience, the orange plasma that I swam in is a direct correlation to words of the prophet John, who wrote the book of Revelation.

The Lake of Fire is also filled with all of the soles who made poor life choices.

This matches my experience of swimming in the lake of fire where I experienced the pain that of that all the soles there had inflicted on others (Inside-the-Lake-of-Fire-the-Second-death). All were in agony for the evil that they had done.

In fact, the bible confirms that it is the final repository for all evil. It is the second death, which is a spiritual death, a permanent separation from God.

Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14-15)

This confirms my concern about the second death I experienced while others were searching for good works as I stood before the Judgment seat.

The Judgment Seat of Christ

The bottom line here is that if you don’t believe in Hell, the Judgment to come, or the devil, then think again. In fact there is something out there worse than Hell. It is a world on pain and suffering that is the continual reliving the pain that they caused others and It goes on forever.

POINTS FOR REFLECTION

This hospital episode was the catalyst that changed my life remarkably as I eventually surrender my life to Jesus Christ. At this point in my story the battle had only just begun however. It took a great deal more pain and suffering before I sought the protection that only God can provide. As you will find out, the path that God has led me down is quite remarkable and you will hear the rest of this story in time as I deliver my future postings.

CORRELATION WITH PSALM 30

As you know, on November 7, 1986 I entered the emergency room of a major hospital thinking that all would be well soon, unaware that death was knocking on my door. A similar correlation is found in Psalm 30 which is one of the Psalms of David. This Psalm gives thanks to God for delivering David from his foe, for healing him, delivering him from the grave, and saving him from being cast into the pit.

I believe that God did all of these things for me as well. Therein lays the correlation. Let’s start by reading a portion of Psalm 30:

I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my foes rejoice over me. O LORD my God, I cried out to You, and you healed me. O LORD, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

Let us praise God for His great mercy and love! Obviously, I totally relate to the message of this Psalm of David. In fact, I modified it to become my personal prayer of thanksgiving to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I present it here, so please read along with me in prayer and praise:

I will extol You, Oh Lord, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my enemy the devil, rejoice in victory over me. Oh Lord my God, I have cried out to You, and You have healed me from a great affliction of which there was seemingly no hope. Oh Lord, You have lifted my soul up from the grave of death and saved me from an eternal damnation I deserved. You have kept me alive, so that I would not be cast down into the lake of fire and brimstone, left to suffer the everlasting torture and agony of the second death. Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks to the remembrance of His holy Name; His name is JESUS, THE CHRIST OF NAZARETH.For His anger is but for a moment. But His favor is for life forevermore; oh, weeping and sorrow may endure for a night, but joy everlasting comes in the morning and a new life begins. Amen.

Please know that this is the exact salvation that Jesus has won for those who believe in Him. Seek Him and you will find salvation in Him. Steadfastly seek Him knowing that those who continue to knock will have His door opened to them. This life is a battle ground that test your conviction in the Lord Jesus. Those who fight to the death will live again with Him in His glory forever. Seek Him with all of you heart, with all of your strength, with your whole mind and with all that you are and He will find you and be the rock of your salvation.

SIGNIFICANCE TO THE VISION

In my previous series of postings I presented a number of my spiritual experiences that revealed the nature of this world and the spiritual realm that is foreign to so many. The following hyperlinks will guide you to these prior postings:

These experiences represent the big picture reality for everyone on the planet. They present the reward that awaits the wicked. They communicate the reality of the devil, hell and the pit of fire which is the second death. They also speak about the devil’s evil desire for everyone in the world, a desire for our failure, bondage, torture and pain forever. Unfortunately, many in the world do not know this truth and many, who have had insight into these realities, simply do not believe them. Unfortunately for them, the devil continues to wage his spiritual warfare against all true followers of Jesus, weather they know the truth or not.

The ministry of Jesus Christ is a ministry of spiritual warfare. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and to save everyone from the terrible consequences described in these prior postings. Jesus came so that all who believe in Him would have eternal life in heaven with Him.

He accomplished this by teaching us to love one another as He loved us, and then He demonstrated that love when He healed the sick, cast out demons, fed the hungry, told us about the Father, died on the cross for our sins,

rose from the dead, defeated all evil, and ascended into heaven where He is our advocate with the Father. This is the heart of the vision—that we become like Jesus and do the things that He did. We are to be imitators of Him and therefore, we are to enter a life of spiritual warfare and victory over evil.

I certainly did not understand these things at the time that I had these experiences. I know them to be true now because I became a student of the Bible and found that its passages validated the spiritual realities of my experiences. Our postings from this point forward will review these spiritual experiences in the light of the scriptures, so that you may also come to the understanding that the bible confirms these experiences and realities to be true.

Repentance Brings Salvation – Even on Judgment Day

In my previous postings I have communicated to you about my severe trauma that landed me in the intensive care unit, dying. I told you about leaving my body and traveling in spirit, through space and time and entered into the Lake of Fire, the place of the second death. I told you how I swam in all of the horror there along with all the other lost soles. I communicated how I was transported to Hell and placed before Satin so that I could experience his extreme hatred of me. I conveyed how I was placed before the Judgment seat of Christ, where I relived my sins. In the past two postings I tell of God’s question for me on the Judgment Seat; “Why should you live?” In this posting I will tell you of my repentance and my bargaining with God on the Judgment Seat. So, with that said, we pick up where we left off.

The Judgment Seat of Christ

I was really desperate now as I knew the focus was back on me. I had to come up with something that would answer God’s question. At first, I blamed my problems on others and waited for a response. Silence was my answer.

Then, I realized that I could not blame others for my poor choices. So I told God that I would change. I pleaded with God, I made a case that if God would provide some things that were missing in my life, that it would make a difference. That was the last thing I remember about being in the gray place.

I awoke the next morning in the intensive care unit where I had been the night before.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. (Psalm 33:18 – 19)

I had lived through the night by the mercy of God.

For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. (James 2:13)

Yes, someone had been watching out for me again. Someone had saved me from the greatest tragedy of all. You would think that this time there would be no mistaking that it was God, but at the time I was still blind. I saw all of this as a terrifying dream, one that I did not care to dwell upon, and simply moved on.

But as you will fine in our future postings the devil was not done yet. He had not given up on defeating me and ending my purpose forever. He would attack me over and over again with physical problem and he would make my life miserable until I wised up and turned my life back over to God.

INSIDE THE LAKE OF FIRE – THE SECOND DEATH

olgotha, the Skull. In this posting, I communicated that I had been struck with a sudden life-threatening pancreas disorder that sent me to an intensive care unit. After the doctors did all they could that night, they left, believing that I would not likely make it to the morning. As I slowly drifted toward unconsciousness, I left my body behind. SWIMMING IN THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE

I soon found myself swimming with countless lost souls in a phosphorescent yellow-orange plasma, delivering scorching heat and immense pressure. These conditions must be like the sun’s fusion reaction, where extreme heat and pressure result from the massive gravitational forces. The heat seared me, and the pressure painfully squeezed me into a rage.   The souls swimming in the lake with me resembled white tadpoles. Together, we darted to and fro, attempting to escape the stinging heat and the crushing weight of the plasma. Each soul also relived the horror, sorrow, pain, and misery of those they hurt. Over and over again, everyone there experienced the feelings their victims experienced from their actions.

The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me. (Psalm 18:5)

Even worse, the feelings of every victim are transmitted into the plasma and received by every soul there. Accordingly, every soul relived the cumulative sorrow of every other soul’s victims. Thus, there is a threefold effect of the plasma. There is the heat, the pressure, and thirdly, the continual reliving of the horrors inflicted upon the world. All these drove us into a frenzy, and we darted back and forth, frantically searching for a way out. Like pollywogs being heated in a chemistry beaker, dashing back and forth, seeking escape without hope or rest, exploring continually for relief without end, howling in despair.

The pangs of death surrounded me, and the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. 5 The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.

While I believed there was no escape from the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, despite this belief, I was instantly relocated to a large, searing, hot cave. Read my next posting as I face Satan in the depths of Hell. What is Spiritual Golgotha?

Golgotha, which translates as the place of the Skull, has been used to identify the place where Jesus Christ was crucified. Here is a scripture that supports this notion.
Matthew 27:33-35 – New King James Version

33 And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull, 34 they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink. 35 Then they crucified Him and divided His garments, casting lots…

The Crucifixion of Jesus
In the spiritual realm, Golgotha contains the Lake of Fire, the place of the second death. What is the Lake of Fire and Brimstone? It is the pace of the second death. Here is a scripture that identifies what this is.
Revelation 21:6-8 – New King James Version

6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. 8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

I passed through the skull’s open eye socket and entered the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, the place of the second death. 

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. I swam in the lake’s luminous yellow-orange plasma and bore its excruciating heat and immense pressure. These conditions must be like the sun’s fusion reaction, where extreme heat and pressure result from the massive gravitational forces. The heat scorched me, and the pressure squeezed everything out of me.   Innumerable souls were swimming there with me, white in color and in the general shape of tadpoles. They voyaged through this hot, orange ooze, wailing in agony on a journey that had no end.  In addition to these tortures, each soul was in an everlasting state of agonizing over their sins, reliving, over and over, the harm and pain they had caused others. They also relived the emotions of remorse, guilt, anger, hatred, and fear that their victims felt due to their actions perpetually. 

The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me. (Psalm 18:5)

But even worse, the plasma provided still more misery. The wailing and emotions of each soul there were transmitted into the plasma and were received by every other soul there. Unbelievably, every soul simultaneously experienced the pain and remorse that every other soul experienced. The compounded effect of these conditions was overwhelming. Still, they had no choice but to exist in this continual torment that drove them into raging madness. Therefore, they darted back and forth like pollywogs in a beaker placed over a flaming Bunsen burner. Desperate for escape but without hope or rest, they scoured continuously, seeking an escape that did not exist.

The Morning Star Rising on the First Day

To the one who has long waited for the promise of God

and waits day after day, year after year.

Are you concerned or growing doubtfull

That His promise may not come?

Have your prayers fallen on deaf ears

and does heaven seem so far away?

Is your hope fading? Then I say believe – believe beyond what you see.

The promise will surely come, sometime, someway, somewhere.
